Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar

2 to 3 weeks back I went to Shokudo for dinner twice in a week. Haha... The first time was with the gals and the second time with Hubby.
It wasn't bad; but at the same time is nothing to rave about. But the queue was always long. So we were smart and went there before the dinner crowd kicks in. I guess it's the novelty of the concept. Although it was similar to Marche, this is the first outlet to serve Japanese food locally.
The food wasn't bad. Overall it was a satisfying meal twice over. Had a great time with the gals chatting and sharing the food and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner with Hubby too. The good thing about this concept is that we can order different varieties of food and share it. So you get to eat different food and yet not stuff yourself. I think it's really good. It even adds flavour to the conversation. Haha..
Actually, I feel the place is suitable for people like me. Greedy and yet not able to eat too much cos I'm too fat and put on weight easily. Hubby and I happen to fall into this category. So the place is actually quite ideal for us. Haha... But as usual, I left most of the food for Hubby to finish and he was so full he could hardly walk. Haha...
Good place for a small gathering with friends. But be sure to reach early though. If not, you've gotta queue like crazy. Be there before 6.30pm and you should be able to get a table without waiting. Bon appétit!

Someone Looking for Love

I am someone who is looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love. And I don't think that love is here......It's not your fault, it's my fault. I shouldn't have come here. -------Carrie Bradshaw

Second Day at Home

I'm beginning to think I could get used to this non-working life. Very used to it. I'm kept busy by the research I have to do for the article and boy can I say, that writing professionally is indeed different from doodling on my blog. You're responsible for what you write cos people are reading it and might just take your word for it and have it as their way of life. So no rubbishing there.
Besides that, I've started on my yoga and whoever think it's easy by looking at it has another think coming. But it's really good for toning of the body. My arms are aching and mind you, I did not do it for very long. I hope this will go a long way in preparation of the wedding; and staying slim after that.
Gotta go do my nails now. Tata!

The Ending of a Half-Decade @ CCS

Today is my first week-day of not working and so far, I'm just taking it slow and easy. Woke up early to get prepared to meet the editor for my freelance writing and everything went well, except I'm getting the writer's block now; on my very first professional article. Sigh... So I'm trying to get pass that block by writing this blog, to get myself into the 'writing' mood.

Last Friday was my last day at CCS. After spending almost 5 years there, I decided enough was enough and called it quits. Much as I am a sentimental person, I did not feel much emotions on that last day. I gave a little speech in the morning and felt a little emo but that was all. The remaining of the day was like the eve of Christmas or CNY and we just didn't have the mood to work. We were horsing around the whole day, taking pictures and having fun. The day in the office ended with a little party that AW throw for me and some of the other gals whose birthdays are in August and also for Fei who was also leaving on Friday.

After I said my goodbyes and did my clearance, we left for the day and started our night. Vee held a little 'sausage party' for my farewell at Paulaner Brahaus and we had fun. As usual, she was going on about the size of my breasts and we were just talking nonsense and having fun.

Vee didn't take too well to the beer and vomitted twice on the way home. We knew she was gone when we saw that she wasn't walking straight while walking to her hubby's car. Haha....
Having said all that, I'm sure I'll miss the good times I had in the office, especially with Chum. We are so on the same frequency that it's uncanny. It's not everyday that you get to meet someone who thinks along the same wavelength as you. I'll miss the interaction and time that we spent together. But well, all good things come to an end. And it's not like we're never ever gonna meet each other again. So, till next we meet, TAKE CARE!
