National Day has never really meant much to me. It's just another public holiday that allowed me to stay away from work. That was till I left SG. I've never realised how much I've taken my country for granted and now I know there's nowhere else I'd rather call home.
Happy birthday, my beloved country. You were, you are and you always will be, the home of my choice. I'm proud of you and am extremely privileged to be a Singaporean.
